Powderhorn launches ski season program promoting participating businesses

Powderhorn Resort has launched a promotional program highlighting participating businesses during each week of the upcoming ski season.

“If a participating business leverages it well, it’ll be a great vehicle for promotion,” said Sarah Allen, marketing and communications director for the ski resort atop the Grand Mesa east of Grand Junction.

Sponsorships for the Business of the Week program cost $500. Powderhorn will display participating business logos and descriptions on its Web site as well as on its marquee on U.S. Highway 65. Powderhorn also will promote participating businesses through various marketing channels, including e-mail newsletters as well as Facebook and Twitter updates. In addition, participating businesses will be allowed to place promotional materials in the base lodge lobby throughout the week. Moreover, businesses will receive four lift tickets; discounts for lift tickets, food, lodging and merchandise; and options for group lunch, dinner or apres ski parties.

A number of businesses already have purchased sponsorships for the new program, including Crossroads Fitness, Grand Junction Subaru, Home Loan State Bank and Pepsi.
