Applications will be accepted through Sept. 24 for free assistance from a group of public information and public relations professionals.
Each year the Mesa County Communications Officers’ Association (MCCOA) provides assistance to a local nonprofit group and serves as that group’s public relations team. The MCCOA is looking for a nonprofit group that would benefit from its services in 2011. Since the program began, the MCCOA has worked with the Early Childhood Partnership, Western Slope Center for Children, Grand Valley Senior Daybeak and Riverside Education Center.
Applications are available from the MCCOA Web site at www.mesacountypio.org or by calling 201-1069 or 248-1184. Completed applications should be mailed to: Dan Flenniken, 2810 Hawthorne, Grand Junction, CO, 81506. The MCCOA will meet with three finalists to select one nonprofit group with which to work in 2011.
