Radio station to receive broadcaster association awards

A Grand Junction radio station has been nominated to receive three awards at a March 9 presentation by the Colorado Broadcasters Association in Denver.

KEKB has been nominated to receive two awards in the category for best marketing and promotions campaigns for its Last Run of Your Life 5K, a 5-kilometer benefit event for the Grant a Wish Program, and a scavenger hunt at Sportsman’s Warehouse in which participants vied for an opportunity to win Country Jam passes and camping gear. KEKB also has been nominated in the category for best website.

In addition to the awards, KEKB morning show host Mackenzie Dodge received a $500 scholarship to further her education in radio.
