Michael Burkhard, sales manager of Bray Real Estate in Grand Junction, attended a regional conference in Colorado Springs.

Burkhard also serves as first vice president of the Council of Residential Real Estate Specialists.

The conference addressed such topics as data security, legal issues, safety and the effects of global markets on the United States real estate market. A total of more than 185 Realtors from Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming attended.

“I particularly enjoyed hearing from Dr. Lawrence Yun, chief economist of the National Association of Realtors, who was particularly insightful regarding the future of real estate in the aftermath of our recession,” Burkhard said.
