Realtor association softball event raises money for cancer foundation

The Grand Junction Area Realtor Association (GJARA) has donated the proceeds from a benefit softball tournament to the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.

The event generated $8,326.16. Grand Junction resident Kim Jones set up the foundation after her son, Jordan, was diagnosed with testicular cancer two years ago.

“We are pleased that, through our event, we are able to make this contribution to help fight a disease that is the leading cancer among men under 40,” said Erika Doyle, president of GJARA.
