Record store celebrates 25 years in business

Triple Play Records in downtown Grand Junction will celebrate its 25th year in operation with a benefit sidewalk sale and live music. The event is set for May 10 to 12 at the store at 530 Main St.

“Our customers make us, and we see this as an opportunity to give back to the customers and the community for supporting us for 25 great years,” said owner Rock Cesario.

A sidewalk sale will feature $1 cassette tapes, $2 vinyl records, $3 compact discs and $5 posters. In addition, shirts will be sold at a discount of 25 percent off. Triple Play Records will donate 10 percent of net sales to the Grand Junction High School music department.

The celebration also will include live music in the store May 10 and 11.
