Registration under way for benefit run

Registration is under way for the Fruita 0.038 Marathon, a one-mile run that will raise money for the Fruita Community Center scholarship fund.

The run is set for 10 a.m. Nov. 5 and will begin and end at Circle Park in downtown Fruita. The event will be part of the U.S. Bank Rimrock Run, a race up and over Rim Rock Drive in the Colorado National Monument.

Admission to the Fruita 0.038 Marathon is $10. Participants will receive a sticker and day pass to the Fruita Community Center.
