Safeway has teamed up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for a fifth straight year to served as regional sponsor of a summer camp mobiles program.
Through Sept. 6, more than 150 Safeway stores in Coloado will offer mobiles and refreshments to customers who make a donation to help send children to summer camps.
The Safeway store at 2901 F Road in Grand Junction will offer root beer floats and other Pepsi products as well as hot dogs to those who make donations.
Last year, Safway stores raised a total of $500,000 in Colorado, enough to send 625 children to camp.
Health professionals donate their services to staff week-long camps especially designed for children affected by neuromuscular diseases.
