Scrap metal recycler opens Clifton facility

Recla Metals has opened a scrap metal recycling operation in Clifton as part of expanding operations in Western Colorado.

The Clifton facility is located at 151 Second St. at F Road and open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. The facility recycles non-ferrous metals, including aluminum cans, appliances and copper wire.

While the company is based in Montrose, Recla Metals also opened a scrap metal recycling facility in Durango.

“We are pleased to offer our services to the entire Western Slope,” said Greg Fulks, a representative of Recla Metals. “As a premiere recycler in Colorado since 1974, we have prided ourselves on meeting the highest expectations of our customers, meeting environmental standards and offering competitive scrap metal prices.”

Recycling keeps scrap metals out of landfills while putting cash into the pockets of customers, Fulks said.
