Skating center launches Dream Machine recycling program

On Edge Skating in Grand Junction has launched a recycling program in which participants not only earn rewards for themselves, but also raise money to help disabled veterans.

On Edge Skating has teamed up with PepsiCo and Waste Management to offer a Dream Machine. The computerized receptacle includes a personal reward system that allows consumers to collect and redeem points for bottles and cans they recycle. In addition, the more people recycle through Dream Machines, the more support PepsiCo will provide to the Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities program.

“We are so pleased to be offering the Dream Machine recycling program to our On Edge Skating clients as well as the Grand Valley community,” said Charles Crawford of On Edge Skating. “This is just another way we are working to go green at our synthetic skating facility.”

Located at 2944 Interstate Highway 70 Business Loop, Suite 208, On Edge Skating offers open skating sessions, classes, private lessons and a full-service pro shop. For additional information, call 812-4109 or visit
