Tax manager named to Girl Scouts board
Shauna Shafer, a tax manager with Eide Bailly in Grand Junction, has been named to the Girl Scouts of Colorado Board of Directors.
Shafer will serve a two-year term on the board, which provides direction to the statewide council as well as establishes the policies and bylaws that guide the organization. Comprised of 23 members from throughout Colorado, the board meets four times a year.
Girl Scouts of Colorado serves 30,000 girls and 10,000 volunteers across the state, employs 130 staff members and has an $11 million annual budget.
Shafer brings to her position more than nine years of experience in public accounting. She serves on the board finance committee for Marillac Clinic and the board of Community Hospital in Grand Junction. She volunteers at Latimer House and serves as a Girl Scout troop leader.
