Tesla Motors has opened a charging station in Grand Junction as part of a growing network that will allow for long-distance travel for owners of the company’s Model S electric cars.

The station is located near the Mesa Mall at 2424 U.S. Highway 6 & 50 and includes six charging stalls.

Tesla Motors has opened charging stations along well-traveled highways across North Americas for owners of the Model S. The stations can replenish half a charge in about 20 minutes. On a full charge, the Model S offers a range of 265 miles.
