University selects new director of development
A woman with experience in nonprofit management, marketing and sales, fund-raising and international development has been selected as director of development at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction.
As chief fund-raiser for the university, Peggy Lamm assumes responsibility for annual giving, major gifts, special events, completion of the Legacy Campaign as well as planned giving and capital campaigns.
“Peggy is a spark plug and she is absolutely the right person at the right time for CMU,” said Tim Foster, president of the university.
A former state legislator, Lamm also has served as chairwoman of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education and Adams State College Board of Trustees Lamm also has served on other boards and commissions, including he board for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center for Ethics, Humanities and the Law.
“My life’s work has been dedicated to education. And as I survey the state, I can’t find a better place to make a difference than Colorado Mesa University,” Lamm said. “Seeing what the board of trustees, President Foster’s team and the rest of the campus community have accomplished over the past number of years is truly amazing and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
