Volunteers sought for vaccination clinics

The Mesa County Medical Reserve Corps, a volunteer program of the Mesa County Health Department, is recruiting medical professionals to work at clinics administering diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccinations.

Several clinics are scheduled over the next year in conjunction with a state campaign to raise childhood vaccination rates for pertussis, also called whopping cough.

Volunteers will undergo training prior to the clinics. To volunteer or obtain more information, contact Mariah McGlothlin, volunteer coordinator at the Mesa County Health Department at 683-6619 or  MRC@mesacounty.us.
