Waste management named ethical companies

Waste Management, a company that provides a range of waste collection and recycling services, once again has been recognized in an annual awards program honoring what’s billed as the world’s most ethical companies.

The Ethisphere Institute selects the winners based on such criteria as ethics and compliance programs; reputation, leadership and innovation; governance; corporate citizenship and responsibility; and a culture of ethics. The institute promotes corporate ethics and offers independent verification of  ethics and compliance programs.

Waste Management has receive the recognition seven times and was one of only two companies in the environmental services industry to be honored for 2014.

“Waste Management is proud of this designation, which recognizes our company’s efforts in transforming the waste industry to focus on environmental solutions. We are proud of our employees who help strengthen our reputation as an industry leader,” said Scott Bradley, a vice president who oversees an area that includes Western Colorado.
