Lisa Mauser has joined May-Investments in Grand Junction as a retirement concierge.

“She’ll work with our custom wealth management clients to help in any area we can that isn’t financially related,” said Doug May, owner and chief investment officer for the firm.

Mauser will assist clients in answering non-financial questions about their retirement plans and create special events to help clients enjoy their retirements.

Mauser brings to her latest job experience as a compliance officer and branch manager for the Bank of Grand Junction, a family owned business started by her grandfather.

The addition of a retirement concierge is part of an effort to offer additional services to clients. May said he and Barbara Traylor Smith, an investment advisor at May-Investments and president of Retirement Outfitters, are working to offer financial planning services to clients. Retirement Outfitters is an insurance-licensed retirement planning firm.

“For me, it’s an exciting time because we’re increasing not our capacity, but our capabilities,” May said. “We’re becoming more than just an investment shop.”
