Wells Fargo contributes to Colorado nonprofits

Wells Fargo contributed a total of $4 million to 1,000 nonprofit organizations across Colorado during 2010.

Wells Fargo employees donated another $933,000 and also volunteered a collective 30,000 hours for community causes.

“Everyone has been touched in some way by the current economic challenges, so I couldn’t be more proud of our company and the generosity of our team members,” said Nathan Christian, Wells Fargo regional president for Colorado. “Our company continues to be committed to using our financial resources and expertise, working closely with nonprofits and other stakeholders to create long-term economic growth and quality of life for everyone in the communities we serve.”

Through the Wells Fargo Community Assistance Fund, about 200 small, nonprofit organizations receive grants each year. The fund provides assistants to small groups that usually don’t have the resources to compete with larger organizations for financial support.

In Colorado, Wells Fargo operates 170 community banking locations as well as 28 home mortgage locations and 30 Wells Fargo Advisors locations. For more information, visit the website at www.wellsfargo.com.
