Western Colorado bank marks 40 years in operation
Alpine Bank will celebrate 40 years in business throughout 2013 with giveways and continued donations to the Western Colorado communities the bank serves.
A contest dubbed the Backyard Treasure Giveway will award 20, two-night Colorado excursions. Entries will be accepted through 2 p.m. March 29 for weekly drawings that determine winners. Entries may be submitted online through the website at www.alpinebank.com.
Alpine Bank also will mark its 40th anniversary by continuing a tradition of philanthropy and donating money and time to local nonprofit organizations.
The first Alpine Bank opened in Carbondale on Jan. 23, 1973. A ribbon fashioned from 50 dollar coins was donated to Mount Sopris Park. Alpine Bank now has assets of more than $130 million, operates 36 locations in Western Colorado, serves more than 130,000 customers and employs more than 500 people.
“The support of all our Colorado communities to the bank as well as the bank support to our communities has resulted in a win-win relationship that we hope will continue for another 40 years at least,” said Bob Young, founder and chairman of Alpine Bank.
