Applications will be accepted through Feb. 1 for a total of $36,000 in grants to support local arts and cultural events, projects and programs.

The Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture offers the grants to support the creative industry and employment in that sector. Nonprofit, government and educational organizations may apply for grants of up to $3,800.
