Robin Stevens has taken over as part owner and head of operations of Peterson Plumbing in Grand Junction.

Stevens bring to her new role a decade of experience as accounting manager. “Taking on ownership of the company was just a very natural progression for me,” Stevens said. “I’ve seen what’s worked well over the years and am dedicated to customer service and satisfaction above all else.”

Peterson Plumbing opened in 1981 as a drain cleaning company with one employee. The firm since has grown into a full-service plumbing, heating, cooling and drain company with 13 employees and eight trucks serving an area from Grand Junction to Montrose.

The company offers the services of licensed plumbers and certified technicians, Stevens said. “Codes are constantly changing. You have to keep up with the industry, and our technicians do. When you hire us, you know the job will be done properly. We are not a Band-Aid company,” she added.

Customer service remains important as well, Stevens said. “When you call us, you know what you’re going to get. We offer upfront pricing, and no work is ever started without the customer’s approval. I will only accept
100 percent customer satisfaction. The people aspect of our business is so important to me. I just can’t stress that enough.”

Peterson Plumbing has become something of a family business. Stevens’ 22-year-old daughter, Pamela, works for her. “I’m hoping one day that she may want to take it over. I have aspirations to keep teaching her.”
