A Colorado utility executive is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at an upcoming meeting of a Grand Junction economic development group.
David Eves, president and chief executive officer of Public Service Co. of Colorado, is expected to speak at the annual meeting of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership. Public Service is part of Xcel Energy, which provides electricity and natural gas to customers in eight states.

Prior to his latest position, Eves served as president and CEO of Southwestern Public Service in Texas. He also has served as vice president of resource planning and acquisition for Xcel Energy. Since 1981, Eves has held various positions involving purchased power, wholesale marketing, energy trading and resource planning for Public Service, Xcel Energy and New Century Energies. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.
Eves serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce as well as the board of directors of the Mountain States Employers Council.
