Alpine Bank president heads community banking group

Jay Rickstrew, Alpine BankJay Rickstrew, president of the Alpine Bank in Rifle, has become board president of the Independent Bankers of Colorado.

Rickstrew has served on the IBC board for six years, the last year as president-elect.

The IBC promotes independent community banks, addresses legislative and regulatory concerns and offers a forum to foster relationships and the exchange of ideas in the industry. “Community banking is extremely important to the success of our local economies, and the model needs to be preserved,” Rickstrew said.

Rickstrew has worked for Alpine Bank for 17 years and served as the Rifle president since 1996.
