Bank supports financial education program

The Young Americans Center for Financial Education will offer its flagship program in Grand Junction through Oct. 20. Young Ameritowne On the Road is set up at the former R-5 High School at 310 Seventh St. Alpine Bank and other community partners support the program, which will teach nearly 750 fifth grade students about personal finance and free enterprise.

“Starting early with age-appropriate and relevant financial education and consistently enforcing those lessons throughout the K-12 school experience can help youth develop positive habits and skills that can make a lifetime of difference in their financial wellbeing,” said Clay Tufly, regional president of Alpine Bank.
