Boy Scout troop schedules annual Christmas tree lot fund-raiser

Boy Scout Troop 328 expects to open its Christmas tree lot starting at 9 a.m. Nov.25 in the parking lot of the old Schlotzky’s Deli at 2468 Patterson Road in Grand Junction.

The lot will include Balsam, Canaan, Douglas, Fraser, Grand and Noble trees in 4- to 12-foot heights. The lot will remain open until the more than 300 trees have been sold. Boy Scouts also will sell decorative wreaths.

The lot serves as the only fund-raising event of the year for the troop. Proceeds go to camping trips, equipment and other activities.
