IHOP to join in pancake fund-raiser

The IHOP restaurant in Grand Junction will join in a national effort to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 28, National Pancake Day, the restaurant will offer customers a free short of buttermilk pancakes and invite them to make a donation.

The IHOP chain of restaurants expects to raise more than

$2.7 million through the fund-raiser this year, bringing to more than $10 million the total amount raised since the inception of the campaign in 2006. Donations collected in Grand Junction will go to the Children’s Hospital in Denver.
