Mexican restaurant closing for makeover

A Mexican restaurant in Grand Junction is expected to close for 10 days while the facility is remodeled.

The Dos Hombres location at 421 Brach Drive is scheduled to close between March 31 and April 9.

“It’s just time for an upgrade,” said owner Scott Howard. “We’re making some necessary repairs in the kitchen, we’re installing new equipment and both the dining room and bar are getting a makeover.”

Employees will receive paid vacation time during the remodeling, Howard said. “All of our servers and staff will be paid and will be ready to serve our customers once we reopen in our beautiful new environment.”

The restaurant isn’t the only thing that will change. Howard said a menu featuring Sonoran-style Mexican fare also will sport a new look.

“Our guests will find a few new items and a couple of new twists on some of the traditional favorite dishes.”

While the Dos Hombres on Brach Drive will be closed for remodeling, Howard said the Dos Hombres location at 3245 Interstate 70 Business Loop in Clifton will remain open.
