Orthopedic practices offer free clinics for students

Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates in Grand Junction once again offers a free weekly sports injury clinic for Mesa County School District 51 students.

The clinic begins at 4:30 p.m. Mondays during the school year at 627 25 1/2 Road. No appointments are needed, but students must be accompanied by a parent.

The goal is to diagnose and treat injuries, said Mike Zamora, outreach coordinator with Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates. “This clinic that we offer every year is our way of checking students for potential injuries and assisting them in their recovery if we do find cause for concern.”
