Katie Miller has joined the Mesa County Department of Human Services as information and communications coordinator.

Miller will serve as the first point of contact for media as well as establish and maintain communication among the department and its staff, customers, stakeholders and community.

Miller brings to her latest position 15 years of marketing and communications experience, including her work as marketing manager of auxiliary services at Georgia Southern University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Georgia Southern University and master’s degree in marketing and public relations from the University of Denver.

Miller said she’s pleased to join the department and return to Mesa County, where she grew up. “I’m very honored and privileged to be a part of this amazing team here at Mesa County Human Services. My father was an economic development coordinator in Mesa County when I was growing up. I watched and learned from him about the area and all the amazing things it has to offer.”
