A series of three free webinars planned for Grand Junction will offer information about the process to obtain a patent.
The Patent and Trademark Resource Center at Mesa County Libraries and Rocky Mountain regional office of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office have scheduled the webinars for 10 a.m. to noon July 19 and Aug. 2 and 16. The webinars will be held in the Idea Lab on the lower level of the Central Library at 443 N. Sixth St.
Since space is limited, advance registration is required for each webinar. To register or obtain more information, call 243-4442 or use the events calendar at the website at www.mesacountylibraries.org.
The July 19 webinar will offer an overview of patents, trademarks and other types of protections for intellectual property. The Aug. 2 webinar will cover patent searches, while the Aug. 16 webinar will address the online filing system.
The Patent and Trademark Resource Center at Mesa County Libraries offers training in patent and trademark searches as well as access to advanced search tools.
