A community yard sale is scheduled for Oct. 2 to raise money and awareness for efforts to rescue cats.

The event is set to begin at 8 a.m. at the Loma Cat House office at 929 Main St. in Grand Junction. The sale will offer bicycles, collectibles, furniture, garden tools, home decor, pet supplies, toys and more.
