Western Slope receives $278K in GOCO grants

Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) awarded $278,029 to improve accessible outdoor learning, conserve working lands and wildlife habitat, and support a collaborative conservation and recreation effort across the Western Slope.

Highlights include:

  • $141,429 to West Slope Outdoor Alliance to support collaborative efforts advancing regional conservation and recreation goals.
  • $43,000 to the North Fork Pool, Park and Recreation District to improve several Delta County trails and outdoor education sites.
  • $49,600 to Colorado West Land Trust to protect a 266-acre ranch in Montrose County.
  • $44,000 to Colorado West Land Trust to protect a 1,156-acre property in Ouray County.
