GJ looks to hire 150 part-time employees for rec center

The City of Grand Junction is hiring for part-time positions at the new Community Recreation Center, which is scheduled to open to the public in late 2026.

Approximately 150 part-time employees will be needed in a variety of roles to support daily operations at the new facility. The additional staff make the City of Grand Junction one of the largest employers of part-time employees in the Grand Junction area and one of the largest employers of teenage staff, many of which will be working their first job.

Applications are being accepted for several positions at the Community Recreation Center, including: manager on duty; guest-service representative; lifeguard; swim instructor; fitness instructor; climbing-wall attendant; child-watch aide; and custodian.
