The Mesa County Cattlemen’s Association will hold its annual meeting April 17 at the Business Incubator Center, 2591 Legacy Way in Grand Junction.
Doors open at 5 p.m., followed by speakers at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public, with dinner provided for those who RSVP by April 13. Text or call 970-314-1454 to RSVP.
The meeting will include discussions on regional water conditions, wolf reintroduction and other issues affecting local producers as well as updates on the organization and its catch-a-heifer program.
Planned presentations include: a report from the Colorado Department of Agriculture; remarks from local irrigation districts, including Joe Bernal, assistant general manager of the Grand Valley Water Users Association; and local government officials, including Mesa County commissioners and Matt Nichols, director of the Mesa County Road and Bridge Department.
