Free e-waste recycling at Southwest Arbor Fest

The Mesa County Solid Waste Hazardous Waste team will host a free e-waste collection during Southwest Arbor Fest on April 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Lincoln Park, near the pickleball courts.

The event is for Mesa County residents only, helping them safely dispose of electronics and keep harmful materials out of landfills. The county’s list of acceptable items includes: televisions; monitors; computers; laptops; printers; scanners; phones; tablets; small electronics; cords; cables and accessories; gaming systems; stereo equipment; routers; and hard drives.

Among the items that are not accepted are: alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, etc.); light bulbs; hazardous waste; and business waste.

Drop off is free for up to 40 pounds of residential e-waste per vehicle. Additional items are 65 cents per pound, with payments taken by cash, card or check.
