GJ Chamber hosts Legislative Wrap-Up Breakfast on May 19

Colorado’s legislative session has concluded, and the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Legislative Wrap-Up Breakfast on May 19, 8 to 9:30 a.m., at the Colorado Mesa University Ballroom, to discuss what the Colorado Legislature’s actions mean for Mesa County businesses moving forward.

State Sen. Janice Rich, State Rep. Rick Taggart and State Rep. Matt Soper will be on hand to discuss the highlights of the 2026 legislative session, the priorities that shaped debate at the Capitol, and the ongoing efforts to keep business competitiveness top of mind in Colorado.

The breakfast also will feature special guest speaker DJ Summers from the Common Sense Institute. Summers will provide insight into recent reports examining Colorado’s economic trajectory, workplace losses, TABOR impacts and the growing pressures surrounding the state budget.

Cost of admission is $35 for Grand Junction Chamber members and $55 for nonmembers. The CMU Ballroom is at 1100 North Ave.
