The Cross Orchards Farmers Market makes its season debut June 27 and will take place every Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, through Sept. 19 at the Museums of Western Colorado’s Cross Orchards Historic Site, 3073 F Road.
The farmers market will feature fresh produce, baked goods, handmade products, specialty foods, artwork and more. Train rides, live music and historic demonstrations will be featured on select Saturdays throughout the season, making each visit a little different and offering something for every member of the family.
The Farmers Market is free to attend, and visitors looking to deepen their experience can purchase museum admission to explore the historic site and join one of two guided tours offered each Saturday. Guests can stroll through the orchard with a horticulturist to learn about the fruit varieties that built the Grand Valley’s agricultural legacy or join Curator Matt Darling for an in-depth look at the people, places, and stories that shaped Cross Orchards and the region’s farming history.
