Two more events are planned in Grand Junction as part of a local observance of National Healthcare Decisions Day.
The Mesa County Advance Care Planning Task Force has scheduled a presentation on advance care planning documents for 2 to 3 p.m. April 16 as part of the annual BeaconFest at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St.
A panel discussion on the array of end-of-life options available in advance directives is set for 2 to 4 p.m. April 23 at the Mesa County Workforce Center at 512 29 1/2 Road.
The events are designed to help participants understand and complete advance care planning documents and communicate their end-of-life wishes to loved ones.
“Preparing now, before a person becomes ill, is the best way to communicate to family and friends what your health care wishes are,” said Erica Eng, a member of the task force.
