An advertising company whose owner is active in business, civic and philanthropic activities has been selected as the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the year.
Merge2Media and owner Joel Kincaid were honored at the chamber’s annual banquet.
Merge2Media offers a range of services related to advertising and graphic and website design. Kincaid started the business 10 years ago after working for 12 years for a screen printing and embroidery company and manufacturing firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Spring Arbor University.
Kincaid served four years on the Fruita chamber board of directors, including two years as vice president and a year as president. He’s served more than six years on the chamber marketing committee and donates his time for chamber marketing projects and events.
Kincaid also serves as a member of the Fruita City Council as well as the Fruita Tourism Council and Arts & Culture Board. He’s served four years on the board of directors of Camp Hope, a facility atop the Grand Mesa that provides camping experiences to area youth. In addition, Kincaid donates marketing and design services to the Children With Hope Orphanage in Kenya.
