A Grand Junction insurance agency has scheduled a series of seminars through the end of the year to offer information about changes implemented under federal health care law.
The seminars are set for 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, excluding holidays, at the MHIB Group offices in the Monument Business Center, 607 28 1/4 Road.
“We are planning to cover a lot of topics, including what plans are available to whom, when the open enrollment period will be for the new Affordable Care Act health plans and how to make the best choice available for you and your family,” said Christine Bogott, owner of the MHIB Group.
While the seminars are set up to answer questions for individuals, Bogott said her agency also will help business owners determine their best options.
“As a company, we are also invested in helping small businesses with a few employees determine their best avenue for securing care as well,” she said. “We really encourage any small business owners or self-employed individuals to attend and learn the ins and outs of this new system and allow us to help you navigate the new system and determine your best course of action.”
An independent agency, MHIB Group selects health and life insurance coverage for individuals and employers throughout Colorado.
Bogott brings to her duties more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. She’s a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. She has served as a chapter president and now serves on a legislative committee of the association.
