Alpine Bank has announced three promotions in central operations information technology: Doug Merrell to executive vice president, Tom Snyder to vice president and Ross Bentzler to assistant vice president. Merrell and Snyder work in Rifle. Bentzler works in Grand Junction.
Merrell brings to his duties 17 years experience as an IT director and chief information officer at another financial institution. He also handled communication security while serving in the Air Force.
Snyder joined Alpine Bank in 2008 as a network engineer and now manages networks as well as system administrators, technicians and help desk staff.
Bentzler worked for Alpine Bank while attending Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, where he earned a degree in business administration. He’s continued his information security education through the SANS Institute.
Kristi Shelton was promoted to executive vice president in human resources and works out of Glenwood Springs. Shelton holds degrees in management information systems and political science.
Jessica Miller was promoted to assistant vice president in operations compliance control and works out of Rifle. She joined Alpine Bank in 2000.
