The employees of a bank headquartered in Western Colorado volunteered a total of 1,260 hours as part of an observance of National Volunteer Week.
Alpine Bank reported that 354 employees volunteered a total of 1,260 hours between April 10 and 16, more than double the goal of 600 hours. In addition, 140 Alpine Bank employees volunteered for one or more nonprofit organizations on one or more days during the week.
“Alpine Bank employees are some of the most dedicated individuals I know,” said Glen Jammaron, president and vice chairman. “The energy and enthusiasm that went into this year’s National Volunteer Week was felt bankwide, and I am thrilled that we not only reached our goal, but surpassed it twofold.”
According to the Corporation for National and Community Service, those 1,260 volunteer hours equates to $32,356.80 given back at the Colorado wage equivalent of $25.68 an hour.
Alpine Bank provides each employee with 24 hours of paid volunteer time per year. Alpine Bank employees give back numerous hours each year, partaking in a variety of tasks.
Headquartered in Glenwood Springs, Alpine Bank operates 38 locations across Colorado and employs nearly 600 people.
