Applications will be accepted through Oct. 8 for openings in the Mesa County Libraries 970West Studio artist in residence program for 2019.
The program is open to Mesa County artists 18 and older. Artists who work in a variety of mediums will be considered.
The program will accept three artists in 2019 for terms of approximately 14 weeks each. Selected artists will work with library staff to provide at least three library programs during the residency and must occupy the studio at least six hours a week.
Eligibility and application requirements and artist expectations are available on the Mesa County Libraries website located at www.mesacountylibraries.org. Applications must be submitted online.
The 970West Studio offers Mesa County residents an opportunity to learn how to record and produce a variety of creative works.
The artist in residence program gives selected artists the opportunity to connect and engage with the community. Selected artists will have studio space to hone and focus their creative talents while sharing their expertise and skills through scheduled presentations or workshops at the library.
