The Colorado Canyons Hospital and Medical Center of Family Health West in Fruita is seeing applicants for a newly formed Patient and Family Advisory Council.
“We are seeking patients and their family members to join the PFAC who are interested in providing constructive feedback,” said Lynn Finley, director of quality for Family Health West.
Working with Family Health West staff, past and present patients and their families will help to identify needs and concerns, review current systems and processes and develop ideas to improve care.
“Patients and their families are often the most knowledgeable members of the care team and can offer unique perspectives and valuable feedback regarding the standard of care they receive,” said Lori Henderson, vice president of clinical services and chief nursing officer at Family Health West. “Our patient advisors will consist of a diverse group representing different genders, ages, incomes and experiences.”
