Applications will be accepted through March 31 for a $2,000  scholarship the Shelter Insurance Foundation will award to a graduate of R-5 High School in Grand Junction

The foundation funds scholarships in the operating territories of Shelter Insurance. Charles Wallis, an agent with Shelter Insurance in Grand Junction, sponsors and partially funds the scholarship.

A committee comprised of high school officials and community leaders will select a recipient based on scholastic achievements, participation in school and community activities and educational goals. The recipient may apply the scholarship to tuition, fees or campus housing for any course of study leading to an academic degree at any accredited college or university.
