Applications sought for Grand Valley Power scholarships

Applications will be accepted through  March 1 for a total of $20,500 in college and continuing education scholarships from Grand Valley Power.

“We belong to the communities we serve, and we’re invested in our communities to help strengthen them. A key ingredient is providing education and training opportunities to our local youth and members who are continuing their education,” said Christmas Wharton, communication specialist at Grand Valley Power.

Scholarships are available to applicants living in homes served by Grand Valley Power who are pursuing post-secondary undergraduate educations. Awards range from $1,500 to $2,000.

Applications are due March 1, except for applications for the Western Colorado Community College electric lineworker scholarship, which are due June 1.
