Applications sought for Lions Club grants

Applications will be accepted through Oct. 20 for the latest grant program conducted by the Grand Junction Lions Club.

Using proceeds from its annual carnival and Parade, the Grand Junction Lions Club and its Community Betterment Committee (CBC) granted a total of $137,000 to 17 organizations over the past year.

Grant applications are now available for the coming year.

“The Grand Junction Lion Club is very excited to announce the kickoff for our Community Betterment Committee 2018-19
grant application season,” said Scott Fedderson, president of the club. “ The Grand Junction Lions Club motto is to ‘Do the most good for the most people.’ We look forward to continued partnerships with projects that will have a direct and positive impact on the Grand Valley Committee for years to come.”

Applications and requirements for consideration are now available on the Grand Junction Lions website at by clicking on the grant application tab and locating the link at the bottom of the page to download the PDF application.

Applications can also be picked up at Brown’s Shoe Fit, located at  425 Main  St. in downtown Grand Junction.

All completed applications must be turned in at Brown’s Shoe Fit no later than 3 p.m. Oct. 20.
