Applications will be accepted through March 21 for a free entrepreneurship training program for small business owners.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has scheduled its 2104 Emerging Leaders initiative for 27 cities across the United States, including Denver.

The program includes a total of about 100 hours of instruction during 13 classroom sessions set for mid-April through November. Participants also will attend workshops, work with mentors and develop connections.

In Colorado, 15 company presidents and chief executive officers will be selected for the program.

Participants must operate companies with annual revenues of at least $400,000 that have been in business at least three years and have at least one employee.
