Applications sought for TED talk event

Applications will be accepted through Nov. 25 for presenters interested in participating in an upcoming TED talk event in Grand Junction.

The event is scheduled for March 7 at the Avalon Theater and follows the TED talk format of short talks, demonstrations and performances that foster curiosity, inspiration and learning. The theme will be “2020.”

“We chose this theme because it reflects the vision and lens we need to use for this new era for TEDxGrand Junction,” said Josh Hudnall, co-organizer of the event. “We’re looking for visionary ideas and presenters to give perspective to the audience on the past, today and looking forward.”

Applications are available online at TEDxGJ.com/auditions. A committee will review applications and invite selected candidates to auditions scheduled for the week of Dec. 1. Participants will be notified within a few weeks if they’ve been selected as a presenter.
