Artists sought for studio program

Applications will be accepted through Feb. 26 for three artist in residence positions at the new 970West Studio operated by Mesa County Libraries in Grand Junction.

Applications may be submitted online at www.mesacountylibraries.org.

Artists 18 and older who live in Mesa County are eligible to apply. Artists may be at any stage in their careers and work in drawing, painting, fiber arts, sculpture, photography, video, music, writing and poetry. Artists in other mediums also are encouraged to apply.

Three separate residencies are available: April 1 to June 29, July 1 to Sept. 29 and Oct. 1 to Dec. 29.

Selected artists will receive dedicated space in the 970West Studio located at Fifth Street and Ouray Avenue for the duration of their residency. Artists also must agree to present at least three library programs to the community during their residency.
