Martha Newman and Paula Scanlon, both broker associates with Bray Real Estate in Grand Junction, have earned designation as Certified Residential Specialists.

The Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, confers the designation on Realtors who complete advanced training and demonstrate achievement in residential real estate. Only 37,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the designation, less than 3 percent of all Realtors.

“I am honored to be a member of the CRS organization,” Newman said, “CRS represents Realtors who have been dedicated to their craft by numbers of transactions, overall dollar volume, years as a professional Realtor and testing results. It’s another way of informing buyers and sellers that I’m committed to their best interests.”

Scanlon said she chose to earn the designation in part to help her clients. “For buyers, I will be able to get them a better home at a lower price and with better terms. For sellers, I will be able to bring in a higher sales price and better terms when I sell their homes. For all of my clients, I believe they will experience smoother transitions and an overall better experience buying and selling their homes since  have earned and received this designation.”
